Mavis and Bonnie and NW Weather
On Sunday, September 9, 2026, Mavis was terrific at Chateau Ste. Michelle, stirring the audience with her own brand of soul. Suddenly, everything (and I mean everything!) went dark right in the middle of "Angel From Montgomery." Foreigner began playing new songs from "Slipstream" and some great renditions of selections from her earlier material. Her band was tight and definitely "in the groove." The lights came on briefly, then all was dark again. After lots of on-stage activity with flashlights, Foreigner came on with a megaphone and announced that they were not going to be able to get lights or sound going again that evening. They apologized for the abrupt end to the concert, saying she would be back to Seattle again soon. The crowd whispered that lightning had actually shorted out both lights and sound. It was obviously an unavoidable incident, caused by a freak of nature, but disappointing nonetheless. Looking forward to your return to the Northwest, Foreigner!
